Congratulations to our People Team, who won the ‘HR Team of the Year’ at the 2022 CN Workforce Awards.
The CN Workforce Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of those striving to make construction and their organisations great places to work. The event gathered organisations from across the industry in a prestigious ceremony held at Grosvenor House Hotel, London, on Tuesday 8th November 2022.
The HR Team of the Year category recognises teams that demonstrate significant improvements in the recruitment, retention, training and development opportunities to help address skills gaps in their organisation.
Our People team have been implementing a People Strategy to radically change the way we attract, select, develop, and retain talent in order to achieve Sir Robert McAlpine's ambition to be the Best Place to Work.
The CN Workforce Awards judges commented: "Excellent evidence of how they engaged with the wider business to create initiatives that were truly valued by the workforce and aligned to the needs of the individual. Strong demonstrable leadership over their people strategy. Great evidence of training opportunities for all and how they improved the candidate experience through improvements to their recruitment processes. What stood out for the judges was their progressive HR policies, particularly providing men & women with 26 weeks paid family leave. They also had compelling statistics to measure their successes."
Congratulations to our People Team for receiving this industry recognition.
We are delighted to have been awarded HR Team of the Year. This recognises every single member of the people team (Resourcing, HR, L&D and Payroll) who have put so much effort into ensuring we provide our people with the very best employee experience. We have always been a people centric business and I think this award now demonstrates that.
