The approach is also helping to create the most sustainable museum possible, embracing the circular economy through the principles of reduce, re-use and recycle and targeting a BREEAM Outstanding rating. The team is seeking to retain and recycle 70% of the existing building fabric and reduce operational carbon through smart technologies that will monitor and improve performance over time.
