Tower Works, Morello, Haymarket, Royal Bournemouth Hospital and The Forge are amongst the sites awarded 45/45 in their recent Considerate Construction Scheme (CCS) audits.
Following their first virtual inspection in June 2021, our Tower Works team in Leeds have consistently scored 45/45 on their three subsequent assessments.
The project involves the construction of 245 build-to-rent apartments in four blocks.
In their most recent assessment, in December 2022, the CCS monitor praised the team for an “impressive range of social value adding activities” and their work to minimise disruption to the public.
The site continues to engage in a well-planned and managed series of engagement activities to encourage persons into the industry; to provide local employment; and to make a sustainable positive contribution to the local community such as foodbank donations, school and college engagement, use of social enterprises as service providers and matching workforce recognition scheme awards with a charitable donation.

The monitor also praised the team’s work to provide a positive and healthy working environment and said: “the site remains very alive to the issues of reducing carbon emissions of the works and resource consumption.”
Congratulations to our Morello Phase II team, who have done themselves proud with two consecutive 45/45 scores on their audits.
Currently under construction alongside Croydon station, the project involves the delivery of three residential blocks, two 25-storey and one nine-storey, which will be home to 456 apartments. The development also includes ground floor retail and commercial units as well as a public park and associated infrastructure.
Praising the team’s positive engagement with the local community, the CCS monitor said the level of social return on investment on the project meant it could be considered “an exemplar for supporting and delivering the scheme’s codes and supporting the local community”.
The assessor was also generous in their praise for the management team, who provided “an excellent, safe, caring, inclusive and supportive work environment for the workforce.”
Additional highlights flagged included an “excellent focus on respect for people policies, training, mental health awareness and support for equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives” and the team’s work on carbon reduction and commitment to net zero.
