We developed and delivered some of the most technologically advanced hospital facilities in the country.
This project involved the concept development, detailed design and construction of major new hospital facilities throughout the West Midlands.
The scheme concentrated the majority of the Trust’s acute hospital services at Russells Hall Hospital which was refurbished and substantially extended to provide 757 beds.
Delivered through the Private Finance Initiative, the scheme also included the provision of two new ambulatory care centres at Guest and Corbett Hospitals to replace the existing, out-dated accommodation.
Workshops were attended by all stakeholders in the concept, design, construction and operational facilities management of the new hospitals to optimise the layout and ensure efficient integration of services.
The project was honoured with the Structural Steel Design Award in 2004.
